The main tasks of the employee are:
Responsibilities can be divided into two main categories:
- implementation – creation of environments from scratch, configuration of new services and implementation of solutions related to high availability. A person on this position will have a great influence on the choice of technology and general system architecture: – installation of new systems – implementation of HA solutions (clusters, replications, load balancing) – performance optimization (database tuning, cache implementation) – scaling of services – automation (writing scripts, ansible scenarios)
- Problem solvin – responding to failures and support for programmers: – tracing the source of service unavailability – system and application load analysis – service configuration optimization (www,db,cache) – CI process diagnostics – replaying files or entire environments from backups
Requirements:
- min. 2 years of experience in a similar position
- good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
- bash/python/perl at the level needed to automate tasks (scripting)
- experience with Ansible/Salt/Chef/Puppet (one of the above)
- knowledge of cloud solutions (preferably AWS)
- readiness to be on call
